369.jpgLSEB.jpgWe want to take this opportunity to remind you of the great times we have each year, while exercising the privileges of our membership in the Cowtown Opry. As a group of performers, we are mighty proud of the great musical heritage of Texas, and we do what we love best -- preserve it, promote it and perform it! By renewing your membership as a Cowtown Opry performer, you, too, have the privilege to be a part of continuing this legacy. You will continue to be encouraged to develop an appreciation for learning and performing the unique music of Texas, from the ballads of the singing cowboy to the rhythms of western swing.

Each month we offer educational opportunities, especially the monthly gathering of The Buckaroo Club, in which we mentor youngsters to develop true western showmanship. As Cowtown Opry members, we’ll share the experience of a life-long love of the songs and lore of Texas!

(dues ensure membership thru December 31 of the current year)

Trust me, “you don’t have to be an expert singer or musician” we just ask that you bring a love for Western music and the history of cowboys and Texas,

It should be noted that many of our Buckaroos have become quite accomplished and moved on to professional careers. Ever heard of Asleep At The Wheel? One of our Buckaroos was offered a position as backup to the main fiddle player. We are co-hosted by Devon Dawson, yodeling voice for Jessie the Yodeling Cowgirl, and Janet McBride The Yodeling Queen. Both are nationally recognized performers. You might have heard of one of Janet’s young students. Her name is LeAnn Rimes. We have one 16 year old who has become a talented song writer.

Most of all, CTO is here for fun!!!
